Following on from this rehearsal many thanks to Annie Kent for the following response (Relates to Of all the Birds that I do know by John Bartlet):

Of all the ear-worms that I have had
Philip the sparrow is really bad
I wake in the night singing its song
I might wring its neck before too long.
All day long it sings in my ear
My sanity’s at risk I fear.
I’ve tried God save the Queen and that doesn’t stop it.
I’m afraid that bird will just have to cop it!

Joking apart am really loving the on line rehearsals thanks to everyone particularly Michael who makes it so interesting. Hope to see you all in person before too long. Best wishes and thanks to all

Following on from the success of the sample choir practice in March, our musical director Michael Cayton is going to attempt to use ZOOM to hold a virtual choir rehearsal on the evening of Monday 13th April opening at 7:20pm for a start at our usual time of 7:30pm.  All WPS members are invited to join in.  To find out how to use Zoom, click/tap HERE to access the Zoom website where there is some good simple guidance.

  1. Thanks Michael and everyone who set this up.It was fun and made a change from singing along to the YouTube Messiah tracks. Best wishes to all.

  2. good to get the vocal chords vibrating again. Next activity to look for Zoom. Makes a change from working in isolation.

  3. Just great to see you Michael and start singing. Looking forward to zoom!!!!
Brilliant to be able to exercise my vocal chords. I almost feel normal again!

  4. Wonderful to see every one again as I missed most rehearsals after Christmas for non-COVID reasons. You are all looking good! Thank youj Michael, it was great to sing again although a little odd not hearing anyone else, just the piano accompaniment. Just as well, as we must have sounded like a cachophony of cats! I regret that something else has now cropped up for me for Mondays which I must attend (just imagine: a clash of Zoom meetings!) so I wish you much fun for future meetings and look forward to hearing recordings of future rehearsals………
