For the choir, there are no formal auditions but once you have tried us out you will be asked to take a simple voice test prior to joining and paying a subscription. Our Conductor will give you advice about the level of musical ability expected and may recommend that you take singing lessons or change to another voice part. The annual subscription has been set at £195.00 for the current season (Under 30 = £99.00).Currently this includes participating in four concerts; attendance at all regular rehearsals throughout the season; all hire of music and performance costs; a weekly information sheet and regular email postings about our activities. It does notinclude copies of the printed concert programme (currently at £3.00 per issue) or participation in our occasional Saturday Workshops (usually about £10.00 per head). Subscriptions can be paid in a single transaction which, if paid by 31stAugust, attracts a discount. Alternatively, you can pay in 3 equal instalments spread across the year. To join the orchestra, you will need a qualification up to Grade 8 or its equivalent. For more about joining, please contact Keith Champion at email@example.com. The basic annual subscription has been set at £80 for the current season (under 30 = £40). Subscriptions can be paid in a single transaction which, if paid by 31stAugust, attracts a discount. Alternatively, you can pay in 3 equal instalments spread across the year. In addition to scheduled rehearsals, we run occasional Sunday Workshops, open to members and non-members alike. These attract an attendance fee of £5.00 and are led by our conductor, Michael Cayton. Currently, participants are working through the complete symphonies of Schubert.
